Which Athlete is Canada’s Most Unsung Hero?
Christine Sinclair: Diana Matheson scored the most important goal in our team’s history [to secure bronze at the London Olympics]. As a midfielder, she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves. She never, never stops working. Her game has improved dramatically. She’s carrying her club team in Washington. She is the rock of our team, we couldn’t do what we do on the field without Diana Matheson. She is really developing so much. I don’t think people know enough about my teammates. I hope that’s going to change over the next few years.
